The Lorenz Curve is described as one that has a graphical
representation to demonstrate what the bottom percentages are of any given
study. These bottom percentages could be any raw data set including the bottom
household incomes for particular areas of the country. In addition the Lorenz
Curve has numerous statistical calculations that help to explain how the
"bottom line" or the "bottom percentages" were calculated.
This simple graphic represents a Lorenz Curve and exemplifies the bottom
percentages and inequalities.
